2004-2005 Pictures
Paddlepro.com
will be hosting its second photo contest. We are looking for the
most interesting, funny, intense, scenic and creative pictures
that have been taken (or will be taken) of platform tennis. What
is a "platform tennis oriented photo?" Simply stated,
any photo that has something to do with platform tennis, such
as a nice action shot of someone lobbing the ball, a great diving
save, a side shot of a team looking mean with their paddles and
ready to play and anything in general with someone holding a paddle
on a platform tennis court.
The
grand prize, and only prize to be given to the winner of this
contest will receive a 22" x 29" photo print of Fox
Meadow oil painting by Robert Strickler. This will be given only
to the person who had taken the photo, none of the participants
or models in the photo will be given the prize. The winner and
the participants or models in the photo will gain paddlepro.com
fame as thousands of platform tennis players will view the picture.
Who
should or can participate? Anyone and everyone with a camera,
regardless of age, amateur or professionals may participate in
the contest, as many times as they would like.
Once
you have taken a picture with your camera, scan it onto your computer
(preferably using a flatbed scanner to maintain the quality) and
save the image file as a JPG file if possible. If you are using
a digital camera to take photos, then load the photos from the
digital camera onto your computer and save them as a JPG file
if possible. We will not be able to accept any photo prints via
the postal service.
When
your photos have been saved as JPGs, send an email with your name
and attach the picture to an email and send them to contest@paddlepro.com.
You may enter as many times as you would like, however please
only sent one email per picture. AOL users please remember to
attach the file to the email instead of embedding the file in
the email, because if the image is embedded into the file we will
not be able to view them.
The
deadline for submitting photos is March 31, 2004, and at that
time the top five photos submitted will be chosen by paddlepro.com's
editor and presented to the public for the purposes that the visitors
to the site may vote online where everyone can clearly see who
the winner of the contest is. Photo entries will also be periodically
posted on paddlepro.com to the public so everyone can see how
the contest is progressing.
Seen
below are last years winning shots.
All
photos submitted can be used by paddlepro.com in the contents
of this contest and other places in web or print that pertain
to the subject of the photo.
