Todd Martin, a former professional tennis player, held a professional paddle tennis fundraiser that Wilson Sporting Goods Co. was thrilled to sponsor. On February 7th at the Skokie Country Club in Glencoe IL, Todd Martin and 11 of Chicago’s top paddle players and pros combined with a seasoned group of amateurs to participate in this exhilarating competition and dinner program.

Homestead Country Club played host on Sunday to the KC Open finals, where Homestead’s own Kevin Kowalik and Kevin “KB” Braun defeated challengers Pete Stroer and Travis Helgeson. Callaway Cup tournament honors icon
Wee Burn Country Club’s Paddle Tennis Committee and several local Fairfield County clubs are sponsoring the second annual “Callaway Cup,” a one-day tournament honoring the paddle legacy of Robert “Bob” Callaway.
This will be one of the first big tournaments of the fall and a great opportunity to kick off the paddle season.
The tournament will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6 and will include both a men’s and women’s 32 team draw. more about the event

Paddles with a Purpose
“Paddles with a Purpose,” the 3rd Annual Paddle Tennis Tournament to benefit the Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital, will be held on April 2, 2011 at the New Canaan Country Club. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to programs for the Cancer Center’s patients and their families. A $125 “donation” covers tournament entry, food, drink, and a great giveaway. We’ll be there rain, snow, or shine and we hope you will be, too! Tom Caputo and Geoff Cartier defeated John and Matt Holmes in a hard fought match to win the Shoreline 95’s at the Essex Paddle Tennis Club on Saturday. The weather cooperated for most of the day as Steve Heath and Ned Handy won the quarterfinal reprieve over Ross Smith and John Cunningham. Roddy Diotalevi and Phil Johnson won the Consolation over Fred Lyle and Ryan McGetrick. Tom Riggio and Brant Smith’s victory over Tim Grimes and Phil Davis in the Consolation Reprieve rounded out a great day of paddle. Check out some photos
2010 WILTON OPEN A MAJOR SPLASH
The phrase“rain or shine” took on a decidedly new meaning at the Wilton YMCA paddle tennis courts last Saturday. Despite driving rain and wind gusts that topped 50 miles per hour, the 27th Wilton Open paddle tennis tournament was a resounding success. Playing in some of the worst conditions ever seen in Fairfield County.
