Ben Porter promoted to General Manager of Viking
As part of the ongoing development of the Viking business we are pleased to announce the promotion of Ben Porter to the position of General Manager of Viking. Ben has been an instrumental part of the Viking sales force and overall brand for years. Ben will immediately assume his new responsibilities and continue working to ensure that our service to our dealer and consumer partners remains the number one priority for Viking. In addition to his new role with Viking, Ben will continue as the Prince Brand Manager for the NY and NJ territory.
Authentic Brands Completes Prince Sports Acquisition
Authentic Brands Group officially acquired the Prince brand name, adding another strong brand to its growing family of properties. ABG, which already owns TapouT, Sportcraft and Silver Star Casting Company, said its objective is to maintain Prince Sports' historical reign in the tennis world while expanding into new categories.
After a 15-year absence, the Princeton Invitational Mixed returned last year to rave reviews. Even morning rains couldn't dampen the spirits of some of the top mixed doubles players in the area! Ernie Keer promises to continue the resurgence of the tournament and is expanding the field to accommodate more teams. This one-day event will be held Saturday, October 16 at The Bedens Brook Club and other Princeton area sites. Space in the tournament is still limited, so sign up early! The weather seemed designed to test the mettle of the players, but the players prevailed! By midday, the rains gave way to mostly gray skies and the spectators came outdoors to watch exciting semifinals and finals in the Princeton Mixed. Director Barbara Rebak's desire to not only resurrect the PIMPT but to make it once again one of the most fun tournaments on the calendar was surely fulfilled. Liz Jaffe and Juan Arraya topped the field with steady and athletic play, prevailing over Jaclyn Williamson and Jeff Lyon in the finals. Laura Sullivan-Bob Lee, Kathy Stuhler-Bob Winchester and Barbara Rebak-Alan Laymon were also winners. Click here for complete draws. More photos soon!

This tournament was always a favorite with the players, and it promises to be so again! John Embree Joins Prince
John Embree, father of platform tennis at Wilson Sporting Goods in the mid 1990’s, has joined Prince Sports as the President of Prince Americas. Embree is an accomplished platform player, having been ranked in the top ten in the country and earning a senior national championship title.
