Viking hat, cigar and a smile for all - David Kjeldsen has been synonymous with platform tennis since the late 1980s. From A2Z Products to founding Viking Athletics in 1995, David has been one of the most knowledgeable, respected and beloved figures in the sport. He has promoted, encouraged and sponsored various aspects of platform tennis, including the Viking Junior Tour, the PPTA, paddlepro.com, Viking Academy and countless individuals. He was inducted into the Platform Tennis Hall of Fame in 2008 based on his wide contributions to the sport. Since selling Viking Athletics in 2008, David has not had an official role in platform tennis...until now. Though his job description at paddlepro.com is undefined, he will continue to use his unique abilities as an ambassador for the sport and paddlepro.com. Bob Considine, owner of paddlepro.com states David's influence and encouragement was a major factor in his founding paddlepro.com. "I could not be more thrilled to have David on board," states Bob. "I would not have been here without him and I can't wait to see where we can go together". After selling Viking Athletics, David turned Viking Embroidery into Long Island's largest embroiderer, earning so much respect the Mayor of Lindenhurst Proclaimed September 28, 2015 Viking Day. "I am really excited to be 'back in the sport' with paddlepro," says David. "I look forward to hanging out at tournaments and promoting more play." Welcome aboard David!
